Load-bearing wall removal
I'm on a project in Burlington, Ontario, surrounded by three structural beams safely installed and on time.
This Burlington project involved installing three structural steel beams to remove multiple load-bearing walls and open up the main floor. Before demolition, we installed temporary supports to safely carry the load. Once the new beams and support posts were in place, they redistributed the weight from above while meeting every Ontario Building Code requirement. The result: an open-concept living space with no compromise to structural integrity.
Vaulted Ceiling
A vaulted ceiling project in Oakville, Ontario that we engineered and installed for this satisfied client.
For this Oakville renovation, we engineered and installed a structural LVL ridge beam to support a new vaulted ceiling. The beam carries the full roof load so the existing ceiling structure could be removed, transforming the space into a bright, open room. Projects like this change the feel of a home more than almost any other renovation - and they only work when the engineering is done right the first time.

Concrete Footings

A concrete footing on paper doesn't always match what we find in the field. On this Milton project, we opened the floor and discovered a plumbing line running directly through the planned footing location. Rather than stop work and call in a plumber, we consulted with our engineering team, redesigned the footing around the pipe, kept the post exactly where it needed to be, and maintained full structural integrity. The client saved the cost of a plumber and the project stayed on schedule. This is what experience buys you.

We recently completed a 30-foot LVL beam installation in Flamborough.
