This project involves installing three structural steel beams to support the removal of multiple load-bearing walls and to create an open-concept living space. Temporary supports were installed before demolition to safely carry the structural load while the beams were in position. Once installed, the new steel beams and support posts provided the strength needed to redistribute the weight of the structure above while meeting building code requirements

For this renovation, we engineered and installed a structural LVL Ridge beam to support a new vaulted ceiling. The beam was designed to safely carry the roof loads while the existing ceiling structure was removed. By installing the LVL Ridge beam, the ceiling could be raised to create a vaulted open space, improving both the design and functionality of the home while maintaining proper structure

A concrete footing on paper doesn't always translate to how it is in the field. On paper, we have a perfect square with a post in the center. We opened the concrete floor and discovered a plumbing pipe crossing paths with our new footing. After assessing the situation, we consulted with our engineering department to determine the best solution. We changed the footing shape while keeping the post location, ensuring structural integrity and avoiding delays. The client saved money by not bringing in a plumber, and we kept the project on schedule.
